The Next Fifty Opening Day…Album

April 21, 2012 in Fesitvals, Seattle for Kids, Seattle Lifestyle

Bright blue skies and shirtsleave temps made the special day when Seattle Center turned fifty a thoroughly enjoyable outing.  We couldn’t even believe how fun and enjoyable it all was, from the (wow, only a dollar today?) trip up the Space Needle to see the 360 degree view to the opening ceremony with plenty of drill teams, speeches, and cool remembrances, including a speach by John F. Kennedy (yes, we heard his voice…) the Skillet and burger food stands, to the bright water garden of the Pacific Science Center, the splendiferous Imax theater Polar Bear flick, the dino exhibit, the mineral exhibit, the water play stream, then back out and wandering around the grounds where everything was entertaining and finally a walk through lower Queen Anne (if you park up in the neighborhoods there is no time limit or parking fee, of course… and we all go out for a walk anyway, so why not combine it?) to cap it all off.
